Clinical psychologist Leslie Schover, PhD (b. 1952, Chicago, Illinois) came to MD Anderson in 1982 as an Assistant professor of psychology in the Department of Urology. She spent time away from the institution, serving as a staff psychologist at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation (1986-1999), then returned to MD Anderson in 1999 in the Department of Behavioral Science. She had a joint appt in Gynecologic Oncology and Reproductive Medicine, Division of Surgery. Her research and work on interventions for cancer patients helped to launch the field of oncofertility.
