M.D. Anderson's first nurse dies at age 88. "Anna Hanselman, R.N., M. D Anderson's first nurse, is shown at her reitirement party in 1960. Hanselman joined the staff of the istitution in 1943, with Dr. E W. Bertner, acting director. She helped estabish early on, M. D. Anderson's reputation for compassionate and competent car of the cancer patient." from Messenger February 1980
