"The Dog Art Project was inspired by and created to the likeness of our pet Sherly, an 8-yr old basset hound beagle mix rescue. The base material was made from delivery cardboard boxes, then "papier-mached" with recycled newsprint. The outer surface is made up of cut up dog food lids amassed over the years. The mosaic design was affixed with hot glue and finished with decoupage."
