Open Education Resources (OER)
Open Education Resources (OER) enable MD Anderson to showcase and retain the highest quality learning and teaching materials and enable discovery of these materials to enhance our reputation as the leading university for cancer education and training. Content creators gain access to a global audience and contribute to knowledge transfer and reduce barriers to learning.
We define OER as teaching, learning, and research materials that are freely shared, and which facilitate educators and learners to use and reuse. Resources are released under a perpetual open license that provides everyone with no-cost access, adaptation, and redistribution with few restrictions.
Through OpenWorks we host OER that is created by MD Anderson faculty, students, and staff.
