The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center adheres to the Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education. All individuals in a position to control the educational content of a certified continuing education (CE) activity, including faculty, planners, reviewers, are required to disclose all financial relationships with ineligible companies within the prior 24 months. There is no minimum financial threshold. An ineligible company is any entity whose primary business is producing, marketing, selling, re-selling, or distributing healthcare products used on or by patients. All relevant financial relationships have been mitigated prior to the start of the activity.
The content of these activities are non-clinical whereas it does not have direct impact on patient care (e.g. leadership, communication skills, or electronic medical records training). Therefore, all individuals in control of the content of this activity have no relevant financial relationships with an ineligible companies.
As a recognized provider by the Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education, we share and transmit your CE completion data with the ACCME, licensing board(s), and participating certifying boards.
